YFC INTERNSHIP
Youth for Christ is a worldwide Christian movement working with young people around the globe. Motivated by our own faith we give young people everywhere the opportunity to be followers of Jesus Christ.
What you need to know….
Video bloggers use news, current events or creative stories to create short, entertaining online movies. And while, to some, video blogging just as a hobby, the dedicated and entrepreneurial individual can turn what’s sometimes called ‘vlogging’ into a rewarding career. A formal degree is not required to become a video blogger, but those looking to have a career in vlogging can pursue degrees in film, technology or computers. An established social media presence and an online portfolio may also be helpful.

What are we asking you to do….
We are asking you to visit ministry location and use your skills to help us tell the untold story. Everyone has a story to tell, but they are not always heard. In an effort to bring individual stories of transformation to the foreground. The stories we tell can shape us and the communities to which we belong. Jesus knew this, making imaginative use of story and parable to both convey his teaching and rework the very narrative of God’s people. We’re not asking you to feed the five thousand, we’re asking you to raise awareness with the next five thousand.

A Video Blogger….
Youth for Chist has ministry sites in 142 nations around the world, so we are asking you to travel with us as we visit ministry sites.

How will you fund it….
Video bloggers use news, current events or creative stories to create short, entertaining online movies. And while some video blogging just as a hobby, the dedicated and entrepreneurial individual can turn what’s sometimes called ‘vlogging’ into a rewarding career.

Additional Duties
Most vloggers are creative individuals and, as such, part of their job is to creatively and journalistically find stories . Once attained, vloggers are responsible for creating video content to reflect the mission / individual story. Doing so involves gathering information about the national program or individual and then presenting that information in a unique way.
Professional vloggers often start out by writing scripts, either individually or with a team. Once the script is written, vloggers set up computer equipment, lights and any other equipment needed to film and produce videos. Unless someone is streaming content live, a long process of editing can occur after each film segment is made and may involve reshoots. With a large enough team, each individual may have his or her own role in the process, such as tech crew, talent or production. We mostly run in pairs, so you will quickly learn to adapt to fill many roles in true freelance style.

A Video Blogger….
Video blogging, also known as ‘vlogging,’ has been around since the early 2000s. The viral nature of this type of media makes the content easy to share and track. Plus, the costs of producing a video can scale to accommodate various projects. Youth for Christ is incorporated vlogging into their outreach and marketing efforts to create a more identifiable approach when sharing the passion and vision not often seen within the mission field. Video bloggers can choose a specialty, such as sports, refugees, camps to reflect their vlogging style and interests.
